Had a great Christmas stay! The historical charm of the building was breathtaking. Loved the garden setting and the quiet atmosphere. The spacious rooms had super comfortable beds, and we were able to easily accommodate our family. The location was fantastic for exploring nearby attractions.
We had a negative experience with a taxi driver who ripped us off upon arrival. We advise guests to be cautious and seek regular taxis to avoid being overcharged.

Location
Internet Wi-Fi connection either very slow to non existing, No proper western restaurant at hotel. Very difficult for cabs (taxi) to reach the hotel as it is on one way road. Breakfast rather limited as well. I would recommend this hotel for families, but definitely not to business people.

The hotel provided comfortable rooms, equipped with necessary amenities for a business trip. the location was very convenient, in a street surrounded by various dining options and a short walk to a major commercial area. the hotel had a peaceful atmosphere, with lovely gardens and quiet rooms.
The hotel lacked proper management as the cleaning of the rooms and hallways was not up to the standard of similar hotels. the hotel did not offer free wifi in the rooms, only at the lobby which was an inconvenience.

The location is just great and because this hotel is not set just on the street, therefore, it's much quite compare to the neighborhood.
The hotel staff needs to be train to meet the hotel quality. The door man never smile nor greet people at the door and fail to do it's job such as carry on the luggage and the worst by eating while it's on duty!!

This hotel was a luxurious retreat in the heart of the city. the private facilities were impressive, including a beautiful garden area and a well-stocked bar and lounge. the staff provided exceptional service, attending to our every need. the room was spacious and elegantly designed with exclusive amenities, making our stay truly comfortable and luxurious. the location was also great, with easy access to nearby attractions.
The only minor issue we encountered was that the outdoor dining area was often crowded, making it difficult to find a seat. Despite this, we enjoyed our experience overall and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in the city.

In general I found this a great hotel. Good atmosphere. Relaxed location in the middle of the city. Better than the Howard Johnson 100m ahead where I staid earlier.
In case a working internet connection is important for you like it was for me, I suggest you to choose another hotel. The connection was 80% offline during the 3 days I spent in the hotel. The roaming costs I had to make by far exceeded the hotel room costs.

Clean hotel with excellent location. Location of the hotel makes it quiet and peaceful. So far the best hotel I have stayed in China.
Not sure if there's a gym

We loved the location of this hotel in a beautiful and secluded garden next to a music hall. It is also situated in one of the most charming areas of this city with great access to transportation, restaurants, shops, and street food. The hotel facilities were fantastic, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time.
Nothing that we didn't like.

The hotel is located in a beautiful, stylish area with plenty of affordable food options within walking distance. It's also conveniently located near some of the nicest areas, including People's Square and the French Concession. the rooms are high quality with good air conditioning and comfortable beds.
The hotel's wifi is poor and requires frequent visits to the front desk for help, which can be frustrating.
